Choňkovce is a municipality in Sobrance District, in the Košice Region, Slovakia. Choňkovce lies at 218 m above sea level, at the foot of the Vihorlat mountains. It has 508 inhabitants (2025). The nearest city is Michalovce, 24 km to the west. Near the border: Ukraine, 7.7 km. Among the landmarks around are Church of Saint Nicolas of Ruská Bystrá (9.5 km), Uzhhorod Castle (18.1 km) and Greek Catholic Cathedral (17.9 km).
