Akşar is a village in Hizan District, in Bitlis Province, Türkiye. Akşar lies at 1,598 m above sea level, in the Southeastern Taurus mountains. It has 686 inhabitants. The nearest city is Tatvan, 40 km to the northwest. Among the landmarks around are Holy Cross Monastery of (3.7 km).
